We finish our discussion about the music business with my special guests, the singer-songwriting duo "Tragedy Ann" ( Liv Cazzola and Braden Phelan)- and Roots Music Canada's Heather Kitching. 

The music business has been in deep crisis for a few years now since the advent of streaming, rising costs, different patterns for music listeners etc, and it got worse during the pandemic. In this episode we talk to Shawna Caspi, a singer-songwriter and arts funding expert, and Sam Baijal, artistic director of Guelph's legendary Hillside Festival.

Drawn from a one-man show James Gordon produced about the so-called 'Freedom Convoy' that landed in Ottawa and other cities early in 2022. With humour, 12 original songs, and commentary, James outlines why he believes that the Convoy was misguided, misinformed, and a dangerous threat guided by extreme right-wing agitators. The title song was a viral hit with 300,000 views on social media and YouTube. It produced widespread approval, hate mail and even death threats.
